About this project

Curated Melbourne started from a simple feeling: we’re surrounded by stuff, but it’s hard to know what’s actually worth owning.

This isn’t a haul account or a shopping list. It’s a slow project about spending with intent – on pieces and places that hold up over time in quality, design and meaning.

From denim and outerwear to bookstores, coffee and design objects, everything here is chosen because it does at least one thing well:

  • It’s built to last – in fabric, construction or function.

  • It avoids the churn of micro-trends and still makes sense years from now.

  • It feels connected to Melbourne – the way the city dresses, reads, eats, moves.

Instagram is where you’ll see this play out week by week:
carousels about a single pair of jeans, a jacket, a café, a record store – and why they deserve a place in your life instead of a fleeting spot in your feed.

The website is the map behind the posts:
guides to where to go, what to look for, and how to build a wardrobe and a life with fewer, better things rather than more, forgettable ones.

If something appears here, it’s not because it was free or on trend. It’s because, in a city full of options, it feels like the kind of purchase you’ll still be glad you made in ten years.

Curated Melbourne is for anyone trying to step off the overconsumption treadmill – starting with one good pair of jeans, one good coat, one good coffee, one good bookshop at a time.
